my work is primarily collage and painting.
retired wooden bread boards and canvas are the foundation of my work. my goal is to use as many found or repurposed items and objects that i can in my art as i like the idea of limitations. i believe we are most creative in restraint. i love old photos, my own photos, patterns, words and flowers which are a large part of how I decorate my work— sometimes separate, but often mismatched together. if I can’t source it i will paint it or draw it. my work lives at the intersection of memory, everyday objects, and the things we’re told about ourselves — especially as women. Using these materials, I reimagine nostalgic spaces and family histories with humor, irreverence, tenderness, and honesty. whether I’m painting magnolias with saucy phrases or building layered portraits from family photos, my art explores how we carry identity, resilience, and story in ordinary life.
