this work lets me dive deep into my grief, and really spend time with people i miss or who are changing. these pieces force me to not just look closely at my family, but literally expand that image and take a closer look at why i am so attached to the photo, the person, or the underlying perception i want to come to recognize and make it obvious with pattern, cut-outs, paint and words.
